Is there anything cuter than a puppy wedding?

Puppy love is in the air! We partnered with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, and many incredible St. Petersburg wedding vendors, to showcase adoptable rescue animals as well as demonstrate how couples could incorporate their dog into their wedding day.

Puppy approved, boho chic wedding design elements

Wooden elements and gold metallics were integrated to add texture variations to the moody jewel-toned color palette. To add texture and contrast, mahogany wooden farm tables and benches were incorporated with velvet pillows and linens to add a luxurious feel.

Lush greenery centerpieces with pops of color and garland runner added a boho chic wedding flair.

The day ended with the puppies diving nose first into the delicious wedding cake!

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay does amazing work for the Tampa community. As an active volunteer, I wanted to highlight its incredible involvement. I adored the details that brought the styled shoot to life, especially dog-related touches like the invitation suite, mini desserts, and the take-home dog treat favors, signage, and drink stirrers to accompany the signature ‘puptails.’

Pink and White Garden Romance Wedding

A whimsical pink and white garden romance wedding at FishHawk Ranch

When I first met with Nicholle and Erik to plan their wedding, they envisioned a pink garden romance wedding for their perfect day. Their furbaby, Nibbler, was also going to play a big role as the Best Buddy!

The talented team from Richard Harrell Photography were on deck to capture each moment of this garden romance wedding day. The way they capture details and sweet moments is just amazing.

Nicholle’s gorgeous lace dress and her ladies’ mauve pink bridesmaid dresses were perfect for an outdoor garden wedding. Those fluffy bouquets are incredibly dreamy!

The dapper gentlemen wore navy suits accented by the same mauve pink color. Each had their own pair of playful socks that they couldn’t wait to show off!

Erik and Nicholle opted to skip a first look and save the big moment for the aisle; however, we coordinated a “first touch” without either of them peeking. It was the perfect sweet moment to calm the wedding day jitters.

A long time friend married Nicholle and Erik in their sweet ceremony outside in the garden courtyard of the Palmetto Club. Their garden romance wedding went off without a hitch!

The reception took place in the grand ballroom where pink uplighting danced around the room and luxurious white draping became the focal point of the sweetheart table. Gorgeous crystal chandeliers and gold chiavari chairs added a glamorous touch to the well dressed space.

Before the end of the evening, guests were treated to witness the “Shoe Game” from the newlyweds. Sitting back-to-back, the bride and groom answer questions by holding up the shoe, either his or hers, for the correct answer. The game is always a hit!

Is there anything more fun than to end a perfect day than with a grand sparkler exit? I think no! Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Thor!

Miles To Magnolia Market

Magnolia Market is Magical

Magical just doesn’t even begin to describe Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas. I have been a huge fan of Fixer Upper and Joanna Gaines for quite some time and when a trip to Dallas landed on my calendar, I knew a visit to Waco was happening!

When I first saw the beloved silos, I’m pretty sure the entire town of Waco heard my “oh-my-gosh-I-can’t-even” scream!

The first order of business at Magnolia Market was heading to the Silo Baking Co. for cupcakes! Our visit was right before the presidential election and the letter board sign was something everyone could agree on.

When in doubt about what flavor cupcake to select, order them all! The Classic was my favorite!

I stalked Instagram before our visit and made a mental list of must-have photos. #MilesToMagnolia was one of them! PS: The silos are big on TV; they are massive in person!

Everywhere you looked there was something that had the “Gaines” stamp on it. From the games on the lawn, to the window flower boxes, to the rusted original Magnolia brand logo, not a single detail was missed. You feel a combination of amazement + happiness + “pinch me, is this real?” + excitement all at once. Magnolia Market is giving Disney a run for its money on being the happiest place on earth!

For those with a green thumb or at least try to have one (ahem, me!) you will be amazed at the immaculate gardens of Magnolia Seed + Supply. Herb garden goals, y’all! We ate soon after at one of the delicious food trucks. PS: Most food trucks have gluten-free options that include bread!

Next it was time to shop. Pack your patience! It may be a massive space, but there are people and items everywhere! See that clock below? That clock has one heck of a story after Sean decided he wanted it for our living room. At the time, there was no onsite shipping available, nor the original clock box, so we were given a coupon for 10% off at the Baylor University UPS store. Great! We had the clock held at the store until we were ready to leave Magnolia Market.

A couple hours later, imagine Sean and I trying to shove the clock into the tiniest rental car known to man that was bright blueberry blue. Headrests were flying, seats were collapsing, and strange looks were heading our way. It became very clear that the clock wasn’t going to fit. Thank goodness our family was with us and they had a bigger vehicle . Finally, we were off to UPS. What a story to remember Magnolia Market, right? But, it wasn’t over yet!

Sean and I weren’t prepared for the transaction at UPS. To purchase a box and to ship an item that large totaled a price that was the same as the clock’s purchase price at Magnolia Market. Enter blank stares here. We were past committed at this point so we handed over our meager 10% coupon and decided we’d laugh about this one day. A week later it arrived in Tampa …and we’re still laughing months later! Now THAT is a story for our amazing trip to Magnolia Market!
